Everything I never knew I needed and so much more.

That’s the sentence I can use to describe Jarvis, Service Dog. Almost a decade ago, when I had an MVA followed by a series of unfortunate events, I didn’t realize how badly it would change my life to the point where my new norm would have no semblance of who I used to be or what I was capable of. I didn’t leave home for almost 3 years because of PTSD. It was felt that I would benefit from a Service Dog to not only assist when I’m experiencing anxiety by providing DPT, helping to find the exit or one of my family members, and alerting before medical episodes.

He also assists with mobility related tasks by retrieving dropped items, operating the accessible doors, providing forward momentum, helping to provide balance/stability when I’m experiencing vestibular issues, assist with syncope episodes, and so much more.

Without the program offered by Freedom Labradors, I wouldn’t have regained part of my Independence back that I had lost for so many years. I cannot begin to thank you for the training and support you have given throughout and most of all, I’m so grateful to be a part of the Freedom Labradors Family!
